Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
1 cup butter (2 sticks) at room temperature
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup light brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
coarse sea salt (optional)
Recipe Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Combine flour, salt, and baking soda; add to creamed mixture and mix well. Fold in chocolate chips. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls or medium cookie scoop onto ungreased USA Pan sheet pan. If desired, lightly sprinkle a few granules of sea salt on the top of each cookie. Bake cookies for 11-12 minutes or until lightly browned.
