Cook Time: 10 minutes
Serving Size: 12 biscuits
Featured Bakeware:
Ingredients
2 cups self rising flour
1/4 cup cold butter (cut into pieces)
3/4 cup buttermilk
Recipe Instructions
Work the butter into the flour, until it is the size of peas. Add the buttermilk until the mixture leaves the sides of the bowl and sticks together. Turn dough out onto well floured surface. Fold dough over on itself several times, using flour to prevent sticking as necessary. Roll or shape into a 5 x 8 1/2 rectangle (1/2-3/4 inch thick) Cut biscuits into 12 pieces using sharp knife if you don't care about having round biscuits, or using biscuit cutter (about a 2 inch size), cut biscuits into 12 biscuits, re-roll and cut scrapes as necessary. We baked these in our USA Pan 8 inch round pan, which yields a higher rising, soft sided biscuit. If you'd rather have crisp biscuits, place on a USA Pan sheet pan, barely touching. Bake in preheated 425 degree oven for 11-15 minutes. Serve hot!!
